I was watching a television
program entitled "Pope Fiction" on EWTN ("Eternal Word
Television Network") recently. The host's purpose appeared to be
to answer critics of the Catholic papacy. I was struck by some of the
claims he made on this program. In response to his claims I submitted
an e-mail message to him entitled "Papal inspiration." I
decided to include the essence of this message, and likely more in the
future, on my web site. As always, please feel free to send me a
